To read this series from the beginning, click here… When I drew this cartoon in 1996, I obviously thought Mulch was an absurd band name. Just for grins, today I googled “Mulch” to see if anyone had actually ever named their band that, and found that there were actually several bands by that name. There’s Mulch from southern California, The Mulch Brothers from Nashville, and a Sir Millard Mulch. No takers for Creaming Spinach though…
When this cartoon originally ran, every musician that I knew (and even a few I didn’t) thought this cartoon was about them. Which I guess says as much about the music scene as the cartoon did. To read this series from the beginning, click here…
